WHAT IS LION'S MANE?

Scientific name: Hericium erinaceus

Lion’s Mane is an edible gourmet mushroom known for its soft, cascading spines and distinctive appearance. Unlike mushrooms with a traditional cap and stem, it grows in rounded clusters with fine, hair-like strands.

When cooked, it develops a tender, satisfying texture and readily absorbs the flavours of sauces, herbs and seasonings. It can be pan-fried, roasted, air-fried, added to soups or used in a wide variety of everyday dishes.

Fresh Lion’s Mane from Malaysia, carefully selected by Yili Farm.

What does it taste like?

ABSORBS FLAVOR

A delicate flavour that pairs well with almost any seasoning.

A satisfying bite that makes it perfect for many recipes.

Butter. Garlic. Soy sauce. Herbs. It tastes amazing with all of them.

Its cooked texture is sometimes compared with certain seafood-style textures, but its final flavor depends largely on how it is seasoned and prepared.

STORAGE - KEEP IT FRESH

Refrigerate

Keep refrigerated at 2–5°C in its original breathable packaging.

Alternatively, place it in a paper bag or loosely wrap it with a clean paper towel.

Keep Dry

Do not store fresh Lion’s Mane in an airtight container, as trapped moisture may cause it to deteriorate more quickly.

Keep it dry and wash only immediately before cooking.

Best enjoyed while fresh
